Over 20 million people in the UK have now had their first dose of the Coronavirus vaccine, with increasing numbers getting their second dose too.
Everyone in the top four priority groups has now been offered a vaccine, as invites are now going out those in priority groups 5 to 9. The latest figures now show that two thirds of those aged 65 to 69 have now been vaccinated.
Here in Dorset the Primary Care Networks are doing a fantastic job, with staff working alongside hundreds of volunteers.
Data has now been released for each constituency to show what percentage of the population has had their first dose. This shows data for the whole population, including children, who at the moment are not part of the vaccine rollout. This data shows that around 35% of the total population in Mid Dorset and North Poole has had a dose, which equates to approximately 40-45% of adults.
Michael said " Having recently visited Poole Port, St Leonards Hospital and The Hamworthy Club I know how hard the staff and volunteers are working to keep up this amazing effort. It's now really important for everyone to go for their vaccination when they are invited"
