Michael was updated by the Dorset and Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service following the devastating fire on Canford Heath.
He will work with local Cllr Sean Gabriel and the Police and Crime Commissioner David Sidwick along with the local police to ensure that the source of the fire is properly investigated.

"As we know from the fire in Wareham Forest in 2020, heath fires are devastating for the local wildlife. Regeneration can and will occur, but it will take time. I want to pay tribute to Dorset Fire and Rescue service, and also firefighters from Hampshire and the Isle Of Wight, who worked tirelessly to put the fire out as quickly as possible."
