Michael has hailed a new scheme announced by the Government, which will see £6.3 million of funding given to help housing on brownfield sites, including Poole Power Station.
The scheme has identified 20 housing zones across the country that will delivery up to 45,000 homes for families and first-time buyers including building new affordable starter homes.
Michael said, "This is excellent news as we have an urgent need to build more homes in our area. I have long campaigned for any development to take place on brownfield sites so that we can protect our green belt whilst giving our children the opportunity to buy their own home. This innovative approach from the Government is needed to ensure that work starts as soon as possible."
