Michael was kindly invited by the Douch Family Funeral Directors to official open the European Summer Conference for Selected Independent Funeral Homes on Friday 9th June. Michael’s speech reflected upon his role as Solicitor General, and the tumultuous past of his predecessors, highlighting the importance of funeral care for local communities, charities and events.
The conference included a showcase of Dorset, including events such as a boat trip along the Dorset coastline, a cocktail masterclass and a Caribbean- themed BBQ to highlight the dual identity (St. Lucia and Dorset) of Douch Family Funeral Directors.
Douch Family Funeral Directors, who have several branches across the constituency, have been providing residents with delicate compassionate funeral care since 1910. The conference brought delegates from across the world to Christchurch. Michael had previously been given the pleasure of opening the new funeral care facility for Douch in Corfe Mullen in 2018.
