Michael was delighted to be able to open the new Daikin Sustainable Home Centre in Holton Heath.
The centre is to be a hub for all things renewables, including heat pumps, solar panels and battery storage. The centre will also provide training, so that engineers can learn new skills with new new technologies. The future of heating is through the use of heat pumps, so more and more skilled engineers will be needed.
Michael said
“I am pleased to officially open the H2ecO Daikin Sustainable Homes Centre, a place where our local community can learn about all the exciting opportunities presented by heat pumps and renewable technologies.
From home owners looking to save money on their fuel bills and ‘go green’, to installers wanting to train and prepare for the future of low carbon heating, the Sustainable Centre at H2ecO, will provide an important ‘heat pump hub’ for the area and a step towards our local and National goal of reaching Net Zero.”
Mike Stephenson, Director of H2ecO, commented:
“Opening our new Sustainable Home Centre is a fantastic milestone for our business and the local community. We’re delighted to have had MP Michael Tomlinson and so many local friendly faces join us on the launch day and on our journey to help the homes of Poole become more sustainable.”
