Michael visited Wareham on Saturday to visit several businesses as they gradually re-open following the coronavirus crisis.
Michael was pleased to see lots of people in the market and local shops, and to hear from traders and shop keepers that people are beginning to spend their money locally again. He chatted to several business owners, and was also pleased to see the local police supporting the community.
Michael said "It was great to hear that people in Wareham are supporting local businesses, from bakers to cheesemakers to the Wareham Boat hire. There were clear ways to keep people safe and socially distanced, and I look forward to more businesses being able to open up in the next few weeks."
