Most households are receiving support for their energy bills through their electricity supplier, but there are residents who do not have their own electricity connection, particularly Park Home residents.
The Government have now outlined their plans for how these people can access help, which will be in the new year. Mains gas prices are being reduced by the Energy Price Guarantee, but this does not help those relying on oil, LPG or solid fuel to heat their homes. The people using alternative forms of fuel have seen big prices rises, so the Government are providing funding to help. Michael has written to people who live off the gas grid, and those in Park Homes, to let them know about the support that is available.

I know that many local residents across Dorset have been wondering about this support. Those of us not able to access mains gas have seen prices rising sharply over the last year. This £200 from the Government will go some way to mitigate that, and I welcome that this support will be available in the new year.
