Michael Tomlinson has today welcomed new statistics that show the number of people claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance – the main unemployment benefit – has fallen by 1,900 in the South West.
Welcoming the figures, Michael Tomlinson, the Prospective MP for Mid Dorset and North Poole said:
‘It’s great news that the number of people claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance is falling in the South West.
‘British business is rising to the challenge of creating jobs and we’re determined to ensure that all hardworking people benefit from the recovery. There is always more to do, but these figures are encouraging.’
