Michael was delighted to be invited to visit Wareham Forest Tourist Park. Tucked away in the forest, in a tranquil setting, the park won Campsite of the Year South West England, and offers both hard standing pitches and camping. Due to the beautiful setting, people can choose to camp in open fields, or in amongst the tall pine trees.
Michael was shown round by the family who run the site - Tony & Sarah Birch, their daughter Chrissy and son-in-law Ben, and baby Oscar. Michael heard about the refurbishments they have been doing, and how they ensure they are as sustainable as possible. Tourism is very important in Dorset, and Michael was pleased to hear that the park continues to have lots of visitors.

It was great to have a full tour of the Wareham Forest Park site - it is so beautiful. The Birch family are working hard to offer a really peaceful place for people to have a holiday, and it was also good to hear about how the park showcase local Dorset food and drink companies.
