Michael went to visit the site of the Wareham Forest Fire with the Chief Fire Officer Ben Ansell.
The firefighters were still battling to keep the fire under control, with strong wind and warm, dry weather exacerbating the problem.
Michael said "It was devastating to see our heathland scarred with burning, and I repeat their request that people should not have Bar-B-Qs or camp fires out in the open to prevent a repeat of that fire. However, even in a short number of days after the fire, nature was fighting back and green shoots could be seen through the ashes."
