The government have recently announced new guidelines for Churches and places of worship, allowing them to open for services, and not just private prayer. Weddings are also set to go ahead, with limited numbers and careful guidelines to ensure the virus cannot spread amongst attendees.
Michael said "Many constituents have been in touch about the closure of the Churches in Dorset, and I know that re-opening for services is a great step forward. We must all continue to follow the guidance, and churches will all re-open in different ways depending on their size, but I for one look forward to returning to church very soon."
Michael also welcomed the re-starting of small weddings.
