The Rifles were granted the freedom of the Town of Wimborne Minster and gave a parade. The Mayor, Councillor Burden, gave a welcome speech and inspected the troops. The parade was led by the Rifles band.
Michael Tomlinson said, "It was excellent to see a large number of people attend the ceremony. Wimborne was out in force showing its support for the Rifles and our troops. I was delighted to be able to attend and to say a simple "thank you" for the work these men and women do on our behalf."
Cllr Robin Cook (pictured with Michael above) said, "I was delighted to see so many people there. It was a good day for Wimborne."
