Michael is pleased to back a campaign aimed at improving costume safety for children this Halloween.
A recent event in Parliament, hosted by Graham Evans MP and Sainsbury's, highlighted the risk to children from flammable costumes. Currently, the law classes costumes as toys rather than clothing, means that they do not get the same level of safety testing. Michael is pleased to back the campaign to both raise awareness of the potential dangers and highlights the good work of businesses like Sainsbury's who are working to ensure that the safety of their costumes is as high as possible.
Michael said, "as a parent myself of two young girls who love dressing up, I want to ensure that all children across Dorset have a happy and safe Halloween."
