The Prime Minister confirmed this week that thanks to the sacrifices made by the people across our country and the success of our vaccine rollout, we are ready to move to Step 3 of our Roadmap Out of Lockdown, on Monday 17 May. This means:
The rule of six, or two households, indoors
The limit for outdoor meetings increased to 30
Indoor seating in pubs and restaurants
The reopening of cinemas, hotels, hostels, theatres, and business conference centres
Groups of up to six people or two households will be able to travel within the UK and stay overnight
Unlock the turnstiles of our sports stadia subject to capacity limits.
Face coverings will no longer be required in classrooms and university students will be able to return to in-person teaching
Increase to the number of named visitors for those in care homes from two to five
