Supporting Schools & Young People
Being an MP means getting the chance to support our local schools and young people. Over the last four and a half years I have visited over 30 local schools and colleges, and have met school leaders, teachers & governors. I have very much enjoyed being grilled by children from many schools, from nursery age to sixth formers. I have hosted work experience students in my office, and offered work opportunities to young people – both an apprenticeship and a university student placement.
“I took part in Michael’s summer work experience programme. It was excellent. He works hard for young people in Parliament and knows the importance of good work opportunities. I am glad that this is a priority for my MP. I am voting for Michael as he supports young people”
