Michael has once again called for railway improvements in Dorset. Speaking during a recent Westminster Hall debate on railways in Portsmouth and the South West, Michael repeated calls for increased capacity and quicker trains to make using railways a better option for local commuters.
Before becoming Member of Parliament for Mid Dorset and North Poole, Michael was pleased to show the Transport Minister, Claire Perry, around Wareham Station. Now as an MP, Michael is keep to continue pressing the case for railway improvements.
Michael said, "I was pleased to be able to highlight the amount of time that it takes to get from London to Poole or Wareham. I want to see our railways improve so that more people can take the train, instead of clogging up the roads. This will only happen when the service is both quicker and capable or taking more passengers."
