On Tuesday history was made in Parliament when, for the first time in history, a 'stranger' - neither an MP nor an official of Parliament - spoke in the Commons chamber with MPs in it. President Volodymyr Zelensky had requested to speak to the House of Commons, and it was a very moving event. Michael was there listening, along with hundreds of MPs, and members of the House of Lords who sat in the gallery.

The Prime Minister then responded:
We will employ every method that we can, diplomatic, humanitarian and economic, until Vladimir Putin has failed in this disastrous venture
and Ukraine is free once more.
