Michael hosted an informal coffee morning in Canford Heath for Ukrainian refugees and their hosts. Local Councillor Sean Gabriel helped with organisation, and Michael chatted with the families about some of the challenges and opportunities now they are in the UK.
Michael said:
It was lovely to chat to both hosts and Ukrainian visitors, and to hear about the fantastic support they are getting from everyone in the local community. It was a pleasure to be able to host this event today, helping some of our visitors to meet others in the same situation, as they settle in to Dorset and Poole.
