UPDATE: Google have confirmed that they have changed their mapping to more accurately reflect the road layout. Wareham Road is no longer shown as the right of way, and is now much clearer that it is not a straight-through road.
There have been a number of accidents in the same place at a junction in Lytchett Matravers. Following residents getting in touch with their concerns, Michael contacted both Google and Apple maps, to ask them to amend their mapping to be a truer reflection of the right of way. Currently, the maps show Wareham Road as having the right of way by the Rose & Crown pub, whilst actually the High Street & Huntick Road have the right of way. Michael has asked the companies to update their maps.
He has also contacted the Dorset Council Highways team, to see if the road markings can be refreshed, to make it clearer for drivers, particularly those who may be unfamiliar with the road.

Following the recent accident at this junction, I hope that the software companies take prompt action to amend their mapping to help drivers more easily understand the road layout.
