Michael was honoured to be asked to attend several Coronation events across the constituency over the weekend.
On Friday he joined the Arch-Deacon of Dorset, along with Bishop Karen Gorman and other dignitaries at a Civic Service in Wimborne Minster to mark the Coronation of the King. The Minster was looking fabulous, with brilliant floral displays and decorations. The choir sang a magnificent rendition of Parry's "I was Glad" which was also sung at the Coronation service in Westminster Abbey.
Later in the weekend Michael went to several local events and chatted to organisers and residents.

It was a fantastic weekend, reflecting the importance of the Coronation across the country. I want to thank everyone involved in organising these events, and also those who have put time and effort into decorating our local communities – whether with bunting, flags, flowers or posters. I hope you all enjoyed the weekend’s celebration as much as I did.
