As the Minister for Countering Illegal Migration, Michael summed up the Committee Stage debate in Parliament this week for the Safety of Rwanda Bill. He also answered questions about the policy during the two days of debating.
Several colleagues paid tribute to Michael during their speeches, thanking him for his constructive engagement during the course of the Bill. Michael was pleased that it passed the third reading, and it will now go to the House of Lords for the next stage.
