Michael was honoured to be asked to participate in the Holocaust Memorial Day service in Wimborne Minster. This is an annual event, commemorating those who were murdered by the nazis during World War 2.
The moving service included hearing testimonies from survivors of the Holocaust, and Michael was honoured to be asked to light a candle alongside the Lord the Lord Lieutenant, other community leaders and a Holocaust survivor. Each candle represented 1 million Jews killed in the Holocaust, which was a sobering reminder of the extent of the barbarity.
Michael said:
My thanks go to those who organised the service again this year, in particular Edith Powney and Wimborne Minster clergy and staff.
